Radisson is a gold exploration company focused on its 100% owned O’Brien Gold Project, located in the Bousquet-Cadillac mining camp along the world-renowned Larder-Lake-Cadillac Break in Abitibi, Québec. The Bousquet-Cadillac mining camp has produced over 25 million ounces of gold over the last 100 years. The Project hosts the former O’Brien Mine, considered to have been Québec’s highest-grade gold producer during its production. Indicated Mineral Resources are estimated at 0.50 million ounces (1.52 million tonnes at 10.26 g/t Au), with additional Inferred Mineral Resources estimated at 0.45 million ounces (1.62 million tonnes at 8.64 g/t Au).
Reports To: Senior Project Geologist
Main Responsibilities
The Exploration technician will be responsible for carrying out a variety of assignments and assisting in multiple areas of the Geology Department. The Exploration technician will work collaboratively and assist with all exploration activities focused on the diamond drilling program at the O’Brien project. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
Detailed Tasks:
- Assisting with the execution of drilling programs
- Opening drill core boxes and confirming meterage declared by drillers
- Replace core in function of core angle and RQD measures
- Core boxes handling
- Sawing core samples and preparation of sample bags
- Classify pulps and rejects and maintain inventory
- Measure drill core density and apply QA/QC protocol
- Prepare assays shipment to laboratories
- Visit drill sites as needed
- Groundwork as needed
- Any other related tasks
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma (college degree considered an asset)
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in a resource-based environment.
- Comply with health and safety provisions.
- Master computer tools such as the Windows operating system and office suite
- Ability to work in a team
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Working knowledge of French.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Quality Control background including problem solving and root cause analysis.

Working Conditions
- Place of employment is 50 Rue du Petit-Canada, Rouyn-Noranda, QC.
- The work schedule is 7 days on – 7 days off.
- Some travel may be required.
- Maintain a good physical condition to handle equipment and core boxes
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
- Overtime as required.
- May be exposed to hazards associated with field and laboratory environments.
- Required to use PPE as required
